While maintaining the title of "youth entrepreneur", and now "savvy business woman" in 2004, Marielle graduated from the University of Nevada, receiving a BS degree in Communications. For five years, she participated in the Miss America Program and twice held the title of Miss Silver State, Miss UNR, Miss Nevada 2nd Place, and was awarded twice the Miss Nevada Congeniality Award. In December 2003, Marielle happily married Sam Hayes.
